Hi bmv,

thanks for reporting this issue. Most likely I must have run libtoolize by mistake, without realizing that it creates dummy dependencies towards ltmain.sh.
Re-running aclocal, automake and autoconf seems to fix the issue (fixed in the last development version V2.36.2).

For version V2.36.2 the same error.
In my case has helped this command:
autoreconf -fi
